ABCP Election Notice
Nomination Deadline: December 1, 2021
The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion will hold elections for Directors of the ABCP at the business meeting to be held on February 26, 2022. While the number of Directors can vary from a minimum of eight to a maximum of fourteen, the Board anticipates that 4 seats will be filled at the next election. All individuals who are currently certified in cardiovascular perfusion by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and have maintained certification continuously for five years are eligible for consideration for election to the Board. An individual may submit his/her own name for nomination or may nominate another individual.
In order to be considered for nomination and subsequent election, individuals must meet the following requirements:
- Submit nomination letter and a current curriculum vitae; deadline December 1, 2021. Upon receipt of the nomination letter and curriculum vitae, the National Office will send the document for verifying committment (as mentioned in item #2) and the information concerning the sample examination questions (as mentioned in item #3);
- Sign and submit document verifying commitment to the duties stated therein;
- Compose and submit two sample examination questions on perfusion technique following the specified format and criteria;
- All documents must be received by the National Office no later than January 1, 2022.
All materials will be reviewed and candidates elected to the ABCP will be notified immediately after completion of the election process. If you have any questions concerning the election process, please do not hesitate to contact the National Office.
